For RLSAND Inc. and the R.L.SAND HOME app.
RLSAND Inc. ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes the limited information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
What we collect
R.L.SAND HOME app
Your HomeKit data — rooms, accessories, scenes, sensor names, automation rules — stays in your home, managed by Apple's HomeKit, and never reaches our servers. (HomeKit itself may store and sync this across your own Apple devices and home hubs, and lets you control your home remotely — that's Apple's framework, not us.) The app reads your HomeKit data locally on your device to display and modify your automations.
When you ask the app to interpret a natural-language request ("turn the kitchen lights on when it's dark"), the parsing is handled by Apple Intelligence (Apple's Foundation Models framework). RLSAND does not operate or use any third-party AI inference service, and your request text is never sent to RLSAND. How Apple performs that processing — on your device or via Apple's Private Cloud Compute — is governed by Apple's privacy practices.
The app collects anonymous product-interaction analytics — which features are used and basic app events — through TelemetryDeck. This data is not linked to your identity, is not used to track you across apps or websites, and contains none of your HomeKit data or natural-language request text. You can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings.
Website & support
If you submit the support form or contact form on this site, we receive the information you provide (name, email, the issue you described, optional device and version metadata). We use this only to respond to your request and may retain it in our support email archive.
Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) are kept for short periods to support security and debugging.
How we use it
- To provide the natural-language and AI features in the app.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve the app.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To keep our service running and secure.
How we share it
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes. The only companies that ever handle it are the providers that operate the app and site on our behalf — our anonymous-analytics provider (TelemetryDeck), our email-delivery service (which transmits your form message to us), and our hosting provider — strictly to run the product, and only the minimum required. AI parsing is handled by Apple Intelligence (Apple's frameworks), not an AI provider we operate or engage, so your request text is never sent to RLSAND or to a third-party AI service. We disclose information only if required by law.
Retention
Support correspondence: kept while it's useful for ongoing support. Server logs: short-lived. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence at any time. We keep no AI inference logs — natural-language parsing is handled by Apple Intelligence, and your request text never reaches us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Reach us through our contact form and we'll respond.
Children
R.L.SAND HOME is intended for adults setting up and managing a home, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be highlighted at the top.
